Terms of Service

Effective: July 3, 2026Applies to: doorchannel.com and the DoorChannel apps

DoorChannel is a place where neighbors tell us the price they'd actually pay for goods, brand credit, services, and homes — and we pool that demand into real deals. These terms explain how the platform works, what you're agreeing to when you set a price or join a pool, and the legal language that has to be in here. We've tried to make it as plain as possible.

1. Acceptance

By using doorchannel.com or any DoorChannel app (together, the “Services”), you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use the Services. “DoorChannel,” “we,” and “us” means Intentional Platforms, Inc., a Delaware corporation.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract to use DoorChannel. The Services are currently offered only to people located in the United States. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you give us, including your address and contact details.

3. How DoorChannel works

DoorChannel is a group-buying and demand-pooling platform. You tell us the price you'd pay for a specific item, for store credit at one or several brands, for a service in your area, or — on the real-estate side — the price you'd pay for a home. We aggregate that demand with your neighbors and, when the math works, negotiate a deal with the relevant brand, vendor, or seller on the group's behalf.

We are not the seller of most of what flows through DoorChannel. We act as an agent that pools demand, carries the negotiation, and runs the payment. Brands and vendors are independent businesses; sellers of homes are independent owners. Where we do sell something directly we'll say so.

4. Accounts & OTP sign-in

You create an account with an email address. There are no passwords: we confirm it's you with a one-time passcode (or the sign-in link in the same email). Keep your email account secure — anyone who can receive your code can sign in as you. Tell us at support@doorchannel.com right away if you think your account has been used without your permission. You're responsible for activity on your account unless you've told us it's been compromised.

5. Buy prices & lock-ins

Setting a buy price

When you set a buy price (for a specific item, for store credit at one or more brands, or for a service), you're telling DoorChannel and your neighbors what you'd pay if the deal materialized. Setting a buy price by itself is not a binding purchase. We use it to gauge demand.

Locking in

Some pools require a lock-in before the deal can close. To lock in, you put a payment card on file (held by Stripe — see §8) and confirm the price and quantity. By locking in:

  • You authorize us to charge that card for the agreed amount only if the pool successfully closes with a vendor.
  • You can leave the pool any time before close and won't be charged.
  • If the vendor declines, the pool doesn't reach its threshold, or we decide not to proceed, nothing is charged and your lock-in is released.

Once a pool closes and the deal locks, your card is charged. Pool-close notifications go to the email on your account.

Multi-brand auctions

For multi-brand credit auctions you set one price for credit at any brand from a slate you select. If a single brand from that slate accepts, you'll be charged your price and receive credit at that brand. Brand assignment is the vendor's decision; you don't choose which one wins.

6. Vendors & brands

Goods, store credit, and services delivered through DoorChannel come from independent brands and vendors. They're responsible for quality, warranties, redemption rules, and after-sale support. We'll do our best to surface their terms before you buy. Gift cards and store credit are subject to the issuing brand's redemption policies (and any expiration the brand sets).

7. Home listings

DoorChannel is not a licensed real-estate broker and does not represent buyers or sellers in real-estate transactions. If you list a home, you're sharing information about a property you own, and you're responsible for the accuracy of that information. If you set a buy price for a home, you're indicating what you'd pay if a sale were arranged — not making an enforceable offer. Any actual sale happens off-platform under the parties' own contracts and any required broker/attorney involvement.

8. Payment & charges

Payments are processed by Stripe. By adding a card you agree to Stripe's terms and authorize Stripe to store your card for future charges initiated by DoorChannel under §5. You're responsible for any taxes that apply to your purchase.

Locking in saves your card on file with Stripe — it does not place a hold or authorization, and nothing appears on your statement. Your card is charged once, for the amount you confirmed, only if and when the pool clears. If the pool fails or expires, the card is never charged.

9. Refunds & disputes

If a brand or vendor fails to deliver after a pool closes, we will work to refund your charge in full. If you're unhappy with what you received, contact the brand or vendor directly first — they own the relationship after the deal. If they can't resolve it, email support@doorchannel.com and we'll help where we can. Chargebacks should be a last resort; please talk to us first.

10. Your content

You keep all rights in the descriptions, photos, and other content you upload. By posting content to DoorChannel you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, display, distribute, and use that content as needed to operate and promote the Services. You promise that the content is yours to post and doesn't infringe anyone's rights.

11. Prohibited uses

  • Don't use DoorChannel to break the law, defraud anyone, or harm anyone.
  • Don't scrape, mirror, or reverse-engineer the Services beyond what's allowed by law.
  • Don't submit fake buy prices to manipulate the market.
  • Don't post anything obscene, hateful, harassing, or that infringes intellectual-property rights.
  • Don't try to bypass authentication, rate limits, or security controls.
  • Don't use DoorChannel data to build a competing service.

We can suspend or close an account that violates these rules.

12. Our intellectual property

DoorChannel's name, logo, designs, and software are owned by Intentional Platforms, Inc. and protected by intellectual-property law. These Terms don't give you any right to use our brand or copy our product, except as plainly needed to use the Services.

13. Disclaimers

The Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent permitted by law, DoorChannel disclaims all warranties — express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We don't guarantee that any specific pool will form, that a specific deal will close at any specific price, or that the Services will always be available without interruption.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, DoorChannel and its directors, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, or data, arising out of or related to your use of the Services. Our total liability for any claim related to the Services will not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose or (b) $100. Some jurisdictions don't allow some of these limitations; in those places, they apply to the maximum extent permitted.

15. Indemnification

You agree to defend and indemnify DoorChannel from any third-party claim arising out of your content, your use of the Services in violation of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

16. Termination

You can stop using the Services and delete your account at any time. We can suspend or close your account if you violate these Terms, if your account creates legal or safety risk, or if we're winding down the Services. Sections that should reasonably survive termination (intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute terms) will continue to apply.

17. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute that isn't resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Castle County, Delaware, and you and DoorChannel each consent to personal jurisdiction there.

Before filing anything, please email legal@doorchannel.com and give us 30 days to try to work it out.

18. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll post the new version with a new effective date and notify you in-app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Services after that means you accept the new Terms.
